Vacation Bible School, July 5-9

The fun happens July 5-9.  Join us as we travel into Egypt following Joseph on his journey from prison to palace.  Registration begins on Sunday, May 2, between services.  Registration forms are available NOW from Sunday school or the Welcome Table or online.  Registration fee is $5.  We hope to see you there!

 

 

St. Paul Book Club

The St. Paul Book Club will meet on July 6 at Judy Mavers home at 7:00 p.m.  The book for discussion will be "Still Alice" by Lisa Genova, a story of an accomplished woman who slowly loses her thoughts and memories to a harrowing disease - only to discover that each day brings a new way of living and loving.  You may join in the discussion group each month or anytime you see a book that is of interest.

 

Women of St. Paul

The Women of St. Paul will have a planning meeting on July 12 at 1:00 p.m. in the Heritage Room.  All women of the St. Paul congregation are invited to help plan our upcoming activities and programs.  We hope to see you there!

 

Summer Fun Day

DuBois Center is hosting a Summer Fun Day for those youth entering 7th grade through high school on Saturday, July 17.  This day would begin by meeting at St. Paul about 8:00 a.m. and returning around 4:45 p.m.  The fun will include lots of activities like boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, community building, etc.  If interested in attending, fill our a registration forms, which are on the Welcome Table in the administrative entryway or online, and return the form with a registration fee to Jane Kramer by July 10.

 

St. Paul Picnic

The annual St. Paul UCC Congregation and Family Picnic will be held on Saturday, August 14 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.  It will be held on the St. Paul church grounds and will be a fun day of fellowship with games for ALL AGES.  Food will be available with a free-will offering.  PLAN NOW TO ATTEND AND JOIN THE FUN AND FELLOWSHIP!

 

 

 

St. Paul Annual Health Fair

St. Paul's 2nd Annual Health Fair for the congregation and community is scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  What can you expect?  Free blood sugar, cholesterol, and bone density, BP and BMI screenings.  Seasonal flu vaccine for $30 (Medicare will be billed, if applicable) if the vaccine supply cooperates this year.  Speakers on estate planning/living will and managing stress.  T'ai Chi  demonstrations, fall prevention and balance assessment, skin care, elder care, nutrition and much more. Memorial Hospital's mammogram van will be at St. Paul on November 13, and you will be able to schedule your appointment during the October 16  Health Fair.  Invite family and friends to join you in a "healthy day" at St. Paul.

 

 

Save the Date! Fall Women's Retreat Scheduled for November

Setting aside just 24 hours to be in the presence of God and with your sisters in Christ is the opportunity offered to women during the upcoming retreat to be held on Friday, November 19-Saturday, November 20 at the Ruma Retreat Center.  The Ruma Retreat Center, with its private rooms and beautiful grounds to walk and explore, offers the opportunity for a great getaway that is close to home.  Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening, and our activities will conclude by 4:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.  The cost of this event is $40.00, which includes your overnight accommodations and two meals on Saturday.  (Checks are to be made out to The Adorers of the Blood of Christ and will be collected on Friday night of the retreat.)  Registration forms will be available in September, but mark your calendars now for this wonderful opportunity to be refreshed and renewed just before the busy holiday season begins.
