St. Paul United Church of Christ has a one-year program that allows individuals the opportunity to examine many different aspects of their faith journey and begin to make decisions on how God is calling them to continue to be faithful followers of Christ in mission and ministry. Through classroom instruction, group retreats, service projects, mentoring, and worship, individuals will continue their faith formation as they explore what it means to be a disciple of Christ and discern their role in a faith community.

Students will have the chance to explore, in very practical ways, the power of prayer and its importance in the life of a community of faith, to examine the many different aspects of Jesus' ministry and mission as portrayed throughout the Bible, and to work through difficult topics that are a part of their lives. There will also be important topics covered that are basic to the faith, such as: the importance of the Bible, elements of worship, and the sacraments.

Students will also learn about the history of St. Paul United Church of Christ and become familiar with the wider church history of our denomination. The hands-on practice of mission and the fun of fellowship with one another will also be a part of their experience.

It is our hope that individuals in this program will begin to ask questions of themselves as they continue their journey of faith, which is a journey that lasts a lifetime.
